I’m guessing Thanksgiving dinner! The first may be candied orange peel? The rest is brining your turkey, the trimmed parts for the gravy and dressing. It looks fun and delicious!
The orange peel is just one ingredient in the brine in which the turkey is now bathing, in the garage refrigerator. I'll take it out of the brin in a few hours, and then have the skin dry out, till Thursday when I'll cook it for Friday dinner. My plan is to cook it low and slow overnight, breast-side-down, and then I'll crisp up the skin in the last hour or so.
The last picture is the steaks for tonight's dinner.
