Heard at the grocery store...

The other day, I was getting a prescription filled; so while waiting, I picked up several other items, one of which was a 12-pack of beer.

As I picked up the prescription, another customer said to me, "Oh, you Catholics and your beer!"

I smiled and said, "Oh, this? I don't expect to drink more than half of it before I get home."

"Do you have a can-opener? I'd like to 'shoot' one here before I check out."

I was once sitting playing Bingo with a girlfriend at the KofC hall when she told me that I couldn't *really* be religious at all because I was GAMBLING and she just knew one couldn't gamble and go to Church without being a hypocrite. I had to do a little educating and explain that the KofC was a CATHOLIC organization... not sure that convinced her that bingo wasn't against the Ten Commandments but oh, well!

As a former Protestant I remember being asked by Sr. to help her out as she moved some things around in the parish kitchen and she was just handing me things to put on the counter for the moment.

I'll never forget when I turned around and she was handing me a case of Bud Lite and my response was "Wow, there's something I'd never of seen in Methodist Church!"

My friends always want to come to Octoberfest at my parish. Church and kegs of beer...does it get any better!

As they say, where ever you find four Catholics, you'll usually find a fifth.

I thought that was Episcopalians!

Why should a Catholic always take two Baptists along with him fishing?

Because, if you bring only one Baptist, he'll drink all the beer!
