It's official . . .

I'm a greybeard.

Between shaving early on Sunday, and not shaving till I went out again on Wednesday afternoon, I sprouted whiskers a little thicker than usual. (Someday, when I really don't care, I'm going to let it all grow.) And, try as I did to explain what I saw as "a trick of light," I have to admit--some of 'em are grey and even white!.

Meanwhile, the hair of my head remains brown-blond; but it keeps getting thinner.

At least it happened to you in your forties. I've had little white hairs with piano-wire consistency sprouting here and there since my mid-thirties.

I had a receding hairline when I was 18. I've always found it hard to work up any sympathy for the gray haired. Bryl Cream, a little dab'll do ya.

Maybe you could let your beard grow for the winter and shave in the summer.

Welcome to the club! You should count each white hair as wisdom. I've deliberately carried a grey/white beard since my early/mid 30s to enhance my credibility with clients. I suspect it would work the same way in your 'business' as well! :)

Father, as someone a bit younger than you I have to say it could be worse. I am greying and completely bald.
